Our mission is to provide specialized services that address the mental health needs of children and adolescents in a home-based setting.

We utilize a person-centered approach while nurturing relationships through hands-on direct support and community resources to facilitate growth and realize potential as a positive contributing member of the community.

What We Do

Advocate Alliance Intensive In-Home Program provides 3-6 months of intensive home-based services to families with one or more children who are at imminent risk of being removed from their family into out-of-home placement or who demonstrate intense behaviors, in or out of the home, that are dangerous to themselves or others. Intensive services are provided 3 to 12 hours per week, per family.

Our clinical staff build an empathic and therapeutic foundation by utilizing the following interventions:

Coping skill development                                                                                                                                                      Assistance maintaining medication compliance
Life skills education

Coordination with other community resources
Individual, group, and family sessions

What ages does Advocate Alliance work with?


We can accept youth between the ages of 5-18.


How long will my child receive services at Advocate Alliance?


Average length of services for clients is 3-6 months. An extension may be authorized for up to 12 additional weeks.

However, each client will be assessed on a case-by-case basis to determine the duration of their stay.

Advocate Alliance is located in the Greater Richmond area.


What happens after my child completes the program?


Once services are completed, families are referred to community resources and counseling programs as needed for ongoing and longer-term services.

Referrals are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; just fill out the referral form below.


Why should I send my youth to Advocate Alliance?


Advocate Alliance addresses the immediate needs of the family to prevent out-of-home placement.
